Whirling in Meditation.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
I meditate regularly twice per day for 20 minutes. Sometimes I feel during meditation that I do not have a sense of the position of my physical body I do not have the sense to understand if I am upside down or not (usually the labyrinth in the ear does that for me, independently of touch or sight) and I start whirling (not in a physical space) anti-clockwise rotation. It is a very odd experience because I feel I am moving in a spiral. Could you please advise what it is or where I can find information for this?
Response:
It’s always a good idea to get a thorough physical exam if you continue to experience a whirling sensation while sitting. Once you have ruled out any organic physical problem, then you should know that such temporary feelings of displacement or disorientation are not uncommon as the body heals various traumas in the senses. Usually, it doesn’t last for more than a moment or so. If it persists and is uncomfortable, then stop the mantra and open your eyes. After you have regained equilibrium you can restart the mantra. Once the underlying stress has been released, your normal sense of balance and ease will return.
