Ask Deepak

Is there a way to protect ourselves from negativity?.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

“At my school, I have someone in my project group who is negative almost all the time.

If something goes wrong at school or private he can walk around with it, thinking about it all day.

It bothers me quite a lot.

I tried to let him read a small piece of what you’re teaching about but he couldn’t process it.

But I’m afraid that he will drag me into this negative spiral and influence my well-being psychologically and therefore also physically.

I’m afraid this will influence my results at school.

Or could it be I need this person just so I can realize that what he thinks or says is not what life is like for me?

And that it might keep me concentrated on being conscious?”

Response:

The easiest way to protect yourself from negativity is to naturally radiate your own positivity.

Don’t bother yourself or be afraid of what he is doing.

Just the fear that his negativity will contaminate you, exposes you to that influence.

It’s all right to see his impact on your life as something that you don’t want to encourage, but if you really want to make the best use of it, find out what it is in you that feels so threatened by him.

If you can identify and integrate the negativity and fear within you that is reflected in your relationship with this person, then you will have learned a skill that will help you for the rest of your life.

Deepak
