Controlling Emotions.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
Hello Deepak, First I want to say I salute the divinity in you and namaste! Also, I want to say thank you for being such a positive impact on the world. I love your meditations and especially the ones with Oprah. Going into what I'm here for, I wanted to know how do you get in control of your emotions? How do you let go of what people say about you or towards you to make you upset and not care about what’s being said? I'm already a woman which means (emotional) lol but how do I get to a point where I can live in pure peace rather than be moved by negative comments or criticism. Thank you!
Response:
You don’t need to control your emotions, or be afraid of them, since they are the natural expressions of your life force. But it is important to have a stable presence within that allows your emotions to remain balanced and appropriate to the situation. Some of this comes with maturity and life experience, but you can cultivate this stability, strength and balance through spiritual practices that develop your core self-awareness. Meditation and mindfulness can build up a calm center within you that will keep you aligned and at peace even while you feel and express your emotions honestly and fully.
Love,
Deepak
