21-day Meditation Challenge.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
This really isn’t a question, rather it’s a special kind of thank you. I learned to meditate over 42 years ago and practiced diligently every day for 30 years. I became a mediation teacher and taught hundreds of people all over the world. I learned advanced meditation practices and even spent years meditating full time in monastic settings. I found after some time that my awareness had settled into a happy, securely stable place where life was pretty good, peaceful, and satisfying. But it felt like I had plateaued and was not growing in any discernible way. So my meditation practice gradually lapsed and I didn’t feel different, so I let go and didn’t think much about it.
In the back of my mind, I kept wondering how I could drop it after all those years and thinking I may be fooling myself that nothing important was happening in my meditations. But every time I tried to resurrect my practice, I couldn’t find enough motivation to do more than a few days of meditating. Last month my girlfriend who is new to spiritual practices found out about the upcoming 21-day meditation challenge and said, ‘Let’s do this together.’ I’ll confess that my initial reaction was that I wasn’t interested in a superficial mediation and I explained my history. She was undeterred and said if I bring such a deep background of mediation to it, it won’t be superficial. Then she said the part about new habits need 21 days to establish themselves and this could help me get back into meditation. That intrigued me and so we just finished it this week. Once again I am hooked on this daily contact with the inner divine and I love it!
I want to thank you for providing such a beautiful service. I know this 21-day meditation challenge helps thousands of people get their first taste of the benefits of meditation, but I wanted you to know that it was also a perfect reconnecting experience for a slightly jaded meditation veteran like me. Bless you.
Response:
I’m glad the challenge was the catalyst you needed to get restarted in your practice. I know from my travels and talks around the world that there are many ‘old timers’ like you out there who have drifted away from their practices for one reason or another. I’m posting your letter in case others in your situation might find it helpful.
Love,
Deepak
