How does one know when they have truly discovered themselves; the person they were created to become, when our beliefs become our own, not what others have influenced us to think? What is the path to this elusive freedom of thought?

The path to freedom is self-realization. Knowing your essential nature means you become free from the binding influence of identification with the objects of perception. You now know you are not your perceptions, your body, your thoughts or your feelings. You are unlimited, non-local pure awareness. When consciousness fully knows itself, it is self-evident—you will know it when it happens.

What is doubt? Where does it originate from? What is its value? Buddhism talks about doubt as a need to value experience rather than engage in blind thinking. Still, what is doubt?
i love that, but i also feel like finding that self realization should be the journey of our entire lives. I want to be able to “re-self-realize” throughout my life. Isn’t that the point of this whole thing called life?
thanks for your response Doc
How does know how to realize self, You have no clue how to realize self of being self aware. I say such as these We are born ignorant and live in ignorances.
Only God can show you your truer self, people need to take corses in how to communicate to God how to surrender to trust. Than comes great teaching within yourself realization knowledge wisdom. “knowing” is a path
