I have three young children. My eldest, who is 6 has been asking a lot about God, Jesus and his Soul. I myself have just discovered the difference between my Ego and Me. I am on the path to Enlightenment and loving the process. I would like to teach my children about Ego, consciousness, Enlightenment etc. I would love your advise on where and how to start with my kids ( books, etc)

That’s wonderful that your oldest is curious about spirituality. The best place to start with kids is always with what they already have questions about. Since he is asking about God, Jesus and the soul, you can talk to him about Bible stories that illustrate the concepts he is interested in. Stories are an excellent way to learn about spirituality. Six-years old may be a little too young for abstract discussions of ego and consciousness, but stories about people who have found happiness by discovering their deepest self could be something he might be able to relate to more easily.

Thank you for asking such a great question as I this last week I have been talking to my 7 yr old about happiness compassion and truthfullness in himself.
teaching your kids your spiritual beliefs is no different from teaching them manners or anything else as a parent you have already taught them. Talk to them at a level they can understand about what you’re doing and why. As they grow older they’ll have more questions and you can teach them more. and even if they don’t ask, as they grow older you will teach them more about your practice, just as you are teaching them more about family, love, hygiene, behavior, nutrition and so on.
Enjoy it all!
everything I know about christianity (which I am still learning with my kids and wife) is from the beatitudes and sermon on the mount. I hope it will work you as well. Good luck!
It is wonderful and indeed necessary to teach kids about spirituality, a strong foundation in the childhood will surely make the child an excellent human being.
